OUR FOUNDER

Carl Gouw
Carl Gouw is a serial entrepreneur and property developer. Carl founded ACTS Group in 2005. He was the Managing Director of Goldig Investment Group, which has been involved in real estate investment since the 1970s. The Group was a substantial shareholder of a Guangzhou developer listed in Hong Kong.

Carl is also an artist, designer and writer. The first project that he designed at the age of eighteen was already featured by several magazines including Home Journal. In 2014, Carl received the ‘40 under 40’ award by Perspective. He has written many articles for publications such as Baccarat and Capital Entrepreneur on cultural criticism. Carl has been invited as a speaker and moderator by different universities and conferences.

Carl is an Assessment Panel member of PMQ and a founding member of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design, and was its Board member until 2015. He was a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization (‘EO’) from 2001 to 2019. As a member leader of EO, he held many positions, including President of Hong Kong chapter, Governance Director of North Asia and a Global Governance committee member. Carl was also an advisor to the Hong Kong Church Network of the Poor, and a Board member of Hope of the City Foundation.
